IETE Exam Schedule is 15 to 22 June and 15 to 22 December.
AMIETE Graduate Level examinations, a pass in which is recognized by the Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD & Union Public Service Commission for the purpose of recruitment to superior posts & services under the Central Govt. Several State Govts, Universities and Institutions in India and abroad have also recognised AMIETE.
Three streams are available:
- Electronics & Telecom Engineering (ET)
- Computer Science & Engineering (CS)
- Information Technology (IT)
The examination schedule is 15-22 June and 15-22 December.
Last Dates for Exam Forms:
Last date for receipt of examination forms for June/Dec examination respectively are as under:
i. Without late fee : 25 Apr/25 Oct
ii. With late fee (of Rs.1500/-) : 10 May/10 Nov
Applications received after these dates will not be entertained.
Filling up of Examination Form:
Students are advised to read instructions carefully before filling the examination form. They should ensure that they have entered and darkened the circles with correct Membership No., Course and Stream, Centre and Centre code, Subject codes, Bank draft No., Banks MICR No. and mobile No. Guidelines on how to fill the examination form are attached with the examination application form as well as given on the websites.
Students are also advised to send the draft of Rs.600/-(For AMIETE) and Rs.500/-(For DipIETE) per subject along with the examination form for theory subjects only.
The fee of Lab Examinations, Oral Test for Communication Skills and Technical Writing, Project and Seminar have to be submitted on the centre. But the codes of the above mentioned subjects have to be filled on the examination form also.
Alteration in the Exam Application Form:
Students are requested to visit the website for checking the status of examination application form and subjects and center filled in the examination form.
For any amendment/alteration in the subjects or in the center after submission of examination form may be allowed on payment of an extra amount of Rs 500/-, provided the request reaches IETE HQs by 20th May.
Admit cards are sent to all eligible students. Admit cards will also be available on web, which can be downloaded. Students are allowed to appear for examination with downloaded Admit cards along with their Identity cards.
June 2012 Examinations will not be conducted in the following Exam Centres;
Virtual Electronic Lab:
Virtual Electronic Lab CDs in 6 subjects DE92, DE93, DE94 (DipIETE) and AE91, AE92, AE94 (AMIETE) are ready and are being distributed with the Manuals for a cost price of Rs.300/- (Rs.225/- + Rs.75/-).
A candidate desirous of taking up the Graduateship (AMIETE) Examination should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics & Maths conducted by a recognised Board of Education or possessing qualification of any 3 year Diploma course in Engineering / Technology covering subjects of Maths and Physics to 10+2 level and working experience in relevant field or studying for higher qualification with physics/electrical/electronics/computer field. Candidates applying for studentship for AMIETE examination shall not be less than 16/18 years of age for 10+2/Diploma holders respectively.
Eligibility Criteria w.e.f. Dec 2011 Exam:
AMIETE for Diploma Holders:
|Section A subjects, Lab I and Lab II||No restriction
|Section B subjects||Student should have passed a minimum of 6 theory subjects and at least one Lab of Sec A with GPA 5 or more only for theory.
Student should have completed a minimum of one year from the date of enrolment.
|Lab III and Lab IV||No restriction
|Project Registration and Seminar||Student should have passed a minimum of 12 theory subjects and at least two Labs with GPA 5 or more only for theory.
Student should have completed a minimum of two years from the date of enrolment.
|Mid term Examination of Project||Student should have completed a minimum of three months from the date of Project registration.
|Project final Examination||Student should have passed Mid term examination of Project and Should have completed a minimum of six months from the date of Project registration.
Note: Students who have registered for project upto 5th April/Oct can give the mid- term exam in June/Dec and final in Dec/June.

Students can appear for maximum 2 Labs in one exam.
Students who have completed '2 & half years of DipIETE' or '3 & half years of AMIETE' from the date of enrollment, can appear for Project and Seminar Examination without any restriction.
LAST DATE OF ENROLMENT:
1. The last date of enrolments of students for AMIETE and DipIETE has been extended from 31st August 2011 to 30th September 2011.
2. Students who enroll before 30th September, 2011 would be eligible to appear for Dec 11 examinations.

A candidate is required to enroll himself/herself as a student member before he/she becomes eligible for appearing in AMIETE examination. The enrollment fee and other conditions are listed in Regulations and Syllabi for AMIETE examinations.
MINIMUM PERIOD OF MEMBERSHIP
A Student member shall be allowed to appear in the AMIETE Examination only after he/she has enrolled as a Student member with the Institution. Only those Student members who get enrolled on or before 31st August and 28/29th February will be allowed to appear in the next AMIETE Examination, held in December and June respectively. Such membership should be current at the time of submitting the examination application form.
The student membership will be valid for 10 consecutive examinations from the date of enrollment. Thereafter, the student members not completing their AMIETE Examination are to seek re-enrollment by remitting applicable amount before or immediately after the expiry of the membership period to continue their membership to enable them to appear in the remaining papers and complete AMIETE. Any examination chance not availed by a student due to whatsoever reason will be counted within 10 examinations.
AMIETE examination is divided in two Sections with 20 theory papers and a project work. Each Section is divided in two parts viz. Part-I and Part-II.
Applications to appear in any of the subjects of the AMIETE Examination must be made on the prescribed Examination Form and accompanied by the requisite examination fee. General Instructions for filling Examination Applications are given in the Syllabus. No action will be taken on an incomplete application. Students are advised to ensure that they have filled all the columns and have enclosed relevant documents. Further, change of subjects, once opted will not be allowed.
Candidates are to submit their Examination Application form along with the fee given in the syllabus. The fee may get revised from time to time and the students are required to submit their application form along with the latest fee structure in force. Examination fees once paid are neither refundable nor transferable to a subsequent examination on any account.
Last Date for Receipt of Exam Application:
The last dates for receipt of Examination Applications at the IETE HQ office for June and December examinations is 25 April and 25 October respectively or as notified separately.

and will be conducted on all days including holidays and Sundays. The sequence of the papers of exams is listed in respective Syllabi.
Results of the examinations will be announced on 25 September/25 March for the June and December Examinations respectively and communicated to the candidates through Result Sheets separately. Result will also be available on IETE Website (www.iete.org)
