Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination - 2012 (J.C.E.C.E. - 2012)

J.C.E.C.E. Board invites applications in the prescribed forms from eligible candidates for appearing in the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination - 2012 (JCECE 2012) for admission into the First Year of the following Degree Courses;

A. Engineering Stream:

Engineering Degree Course in different Government/Private Engineering Institutes/Colleges situated in Jharkhand State.

B. Medical Stream:

MBBS/BDS/Homeopath Course in Government and Private Institutes situated in Jharkhand State.

C. Agriculture Stream:

Degree Course in Agriculture, Veterinary and Forestry in Birsa Agricultural University, Kanke, Ranchi.

Educational & Age Eligibility Criteria:

Stream		Minimum Educational Qualification	Age Limitation
Engineering Stream		I.Sc./10+2 or equivalent exam passed with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject along with Chemistry or Biology and He/She obtained minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. Norms of AICTE will be applicable.	No. Max. & Min. age limit
Medical Stream	M.B.B.S, B.D.S, Homeopath	I.Sc./10+2 or equivalent exam passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually. Norms of MCI, DCI & CCH will be applicable.	Minimum age 17 years as on 31st December 2012.
Agriculture & Forestry	B.V.Sc. & A.H.	Passed I.Sc./10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Biology.	Minimum age 17 years as on 31st December 2012.
Agriculture & Forestry	B.Sc. Ag. & B.Sc. Forestry	Passed I.Sc./10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Maths or Physics, Chemistry & Biology.	Minimum age 17 years and maximum 22 years as on 1st July 2012. (Three years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates in upper age limit)

Note: Appearing candidate may also apply subjected to production of passing certificate at the time of Counselling.

Residential Eligibility:

Applicant must be a citizen of India and local resident of Jharkhand as per criteria laid down in the Memo No. 5/vividh -O9/2001(Domicile) Ka. 2695/Ranchi dated 29/4/O2 of “Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Department”, Govt. of Jharkhand.

The Candidates should submit original Local Residential Certificate issued by the SDM/DC at the time of counselling; in the format given with prospectus.

Application Form:

Application form may be obtained in person from 27th March 2012 to 12th April 2012 at the following Post offices after payment of Prospectus-cum-Application Form and examination fee as mention in the Fee table given bellow:

Those candidates who want to appear in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology stream, (PCMB Group) have to submit Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order of Rs. 50/- in favour of "Controller of Examination, JCECEB” payable at Ranchi along with Application Form. In case of such candidate must write their name, application form no. on the back side of DD/IPO. If they did not enclose DD/IPO, the Board will treat him/her as PCB Group candidate and he/she will not be allowed to appear in Mathematics paper examination. No Draft will be accepted in any circumstances after last date of receipt of application form.

Date of Examination: 18th May, 2012.

Last date of receiving the Application Form: Last date of receipt of filled up application form is 16th April 2012 at 05.00 PM through Speed Post/Registered Post directly to Controller of Examination, J.C.E.C.E. Board, Science City Campus, Sirkha Toli, Namkum-Tupudana Road, Namkum, Ranchi, Jharkhand - 834023 in working days. No Application form will be accepted hand to hand.

Board will not be responsible for any typographical or printing error.

Level of Examination: Question will be based on I.Sc. / 10+2 level syllabus approved by Jharkhand Academic Council and C.B.S.E. For ready reference Syllabus please see the website of the Board (http://www.jharkhand.gov.in/jceceb/). It is only for guidelines.

Admit Card:

Only completely filled up Application form received within prescribed date and time will be accepted and Admit Card will be issued and will be sent through Registered Post/Speed Post/Mass Mail for appearing in Examination. Board will not be responsible for any late delivery/non delivery of Postal Department. Name of the candidate, Scan Photograph, Date of Birth, Sex, Name of the Examination, Date of the Examination, Examination Centre, Address, Roll No. and their reservation category will be mentioned in the Admit Card.

If any candidate finds any difference in entry of Name, Category, Date of Birth, Sex, Father's Name in issued Admit Card, then an application in this regard directly to Invigilator in the Examination hall will be enough for correction in their entry and fill up all entries correct in the Answer OMR Sheet at the time of Exaination. Please contact Board Office on fixed date as notified by Board for error-correction in subject Group or Photograph and get it corrected before Examination.

Type of Examination:

Question paper will be of multiple choice and objective type in the Competitive Examination. A candidate will have to darken the correct option by black ball pen on Answer OMR Sheet.

There will be 50 questions carrying equally one marks in each section and for every correct answer one mark will be awarded & for every wrong answer 0.25 mark will be deducted. In case of darkening more than one option for one question it will be rejected and it will not be evaluated.

Merit List: Combined Merit List (General) and different Category-wise merit list will be published for PCM & PCB Group on the basis of obtained marks in three subjects. Merit list of PCMB group will be prepared seperately for Agriculture & Forestry Course and the information will be given through the webiste of Board (http://www.jharkhand.gov.in/jceceb/) or Daily News Papers.
