2. COMPUTER BASED TEST: 11th February, 2012 (Saturday) onwards
Founded in the year 1957, All India Management Association (AIMA) is an apex body of management with over 30,000 individual members, 3000 institutional members and 60 Local Management Association across India and overseas.
AIMA undertakes a host of management related activities and initiatives such as Distance Management Education, Management Development Programmes, Special Conferences, Research & Publications, Testing Services and Competitions.
Centre for Management Services (CMS) is the specialised division of AIMA undertaking testing and other management services. The testing services have been in operation since 1988 facilitating academia, industry and governments to screen and select candidates for higher studies, recruitment, promotion, etc. Over hundreds of AICTE approved Institutions & University departments and over lakhs of MBA aspirants having availed AIMA’s testing services. MAT is approved by Ministry of HRD, GOI as a National Entrance Test .

Mode of Test (How to take the test): Candidate can choose any one of the two options to take the test:
1. Paper Based Test (Or)
2. Computer Based Test

Last Date For sale of Forms: 14 January 2012 (Saturday)

1. PAPER BASED TEST:
Test Date: 05 February 2012 (Sunday)
Test Timings: 1000-1230 Hrs
Reporting Time at the Test Centre: 0900 Hrs
2. COMPUTER BASED TEST:
Test Date: 11 February 2012 (Saturday) onwards**
**If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed on 11 February 2012 itself.
Test Timing: In different Time slots at specific test venues; subject to number of candidates registering for Computer Based Test.
MAT 2012 Eligibility:
Graduates in any discipline. Final year students of Graduate Courses can also apply.
How to Apply:
Candidate can choose any one of the following modes to apply.
i. Obtain Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs. 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) from listed branches of Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, listed Study Centres of AIMA OR from AIMA, New Delhi.
or
ii. Obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. Register online at website www.aima-ind.org/matfeb12 alongwith the DD details. Detailed procedure is given on the website link.
or
iii. Register online at website link www.aima-ind.org/matfeb12 with Credit Card payment. Detailed procedure is given on the website link.

MAT 2012 Test Centre City:
i. Test Centre City list is provided in the bulletin. Test Venues for Paper-Based Test and Computer Based Test are different.
ii. The Paper-Based Test will take place only on one day i.e., 05 February 2012 at one time slot i.e., 10.00am-12.30pm, whereas the Computer Based Test will take place from 11 February 2012 onwards in different time slots.
iii. If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed on 11 February 2012 itself.
iv. If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is few in a particular centre, these candidates have to appear for the Paper-Based Test on 05 February 2012 only.
v. One candidate can appear only for one date for the February 2012 MAT.
List of Participating Management Institutes:
Four Digit codes for Management Institutes/University Departments accepting the MAT Score are given in the List of Participating Institutes/Universities as MI Code. There are five blocks consisting of four boxes each given in the Form. Fill the codes of those five institutes only where you have applied or are applying for admission.
Important Notice: Applicants are advised to check the approval/recognition status of various programs directly from the concerned Authorities/ Institutes/ Universities.

MAT Registration Form Acknowledgement:
All Forms received at AIMA will be scanned / validated within 3 days and the Form Numbers of such received forms will be available on website link: www.aima-ind.org/mat_receipt.aspx .
Further, your form will be scrutinized and if found in order; it will be provisionally registered.
MAT Registration Form received later than the due date is liable to be rejected. Neither any correspondence in this regard will be entertained nor will the fee be refunded.
MAT 2012 Admit Card:
i. All provisionally registered candidates both for Paper Based and Computer Based Test can down load their Admit Card from AIMA website link: www.aima-ind.org/mat_centre.aspx 7 days before the Paper Based test date i.e., with effect from 28 January 2012 (Saturday).
ii. Specific Admit Card will be generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test.
iii. Admit Card would be having Candidate Name, Form No, Roll NO, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to them in the case of Computer Based Test.
iv. Candidates applied for Computer Based Test and who have been permitted to appear for the Computer Based Test; have to down load the Admit Card 7 days before the Paper Based Test date i.e., with effect from 28 January 2012 (Saturday) from AIMA website. Candidates accessing the website the earliest can choose the Date and Time of his/her choice subject to availability. Those who have not opted the date and time slot for 4-5 days; will be automatically allotted date and time slot by the system. No request for change of date and time slot can be entertained.
v. No separate Admit Card will be issued or dispatched.

MAT Score is acceptable even to certain other Institutes for considering admission of candidates for Post Graduate Degree / Diploma programmes, besides the above Institutes, subject to specific cut-off marks and other admission parameters.
Pattern of Examination:
MAT Entrance exam has 200 multiple choice questions which are to be attempted in two and a half hours. The questions are from these five sections:
Language Comprehension: 40 questions
Mathematical Skills: 40 questions
Data Analysis and Sufficiency: 40 questions
Intelligence and Critical Reasoning: 40 questions
Indian and Global Environment: 40 questions
