Goa Institute of Management (GIM) conducts an admission procedure for admission to its Post Graduate Diploma in Management Program. GIM has been approved by AICTE for its 2 year PGDM Program. It is considered to be a reputed institute for management education in the country. Goa Institute of Management has a very good infrastructure and facilities. It also has international collaborations for student exchange programs. Over the year the institute has progressed highly in terms of placement records.
GMI uses XAT scores for short listing candidates for its PGDM Program. Therefore it is essential for students who want to get admission in PGDM program of GIM to appear in XAT. The shortlisted candidates are then called for Personal Interview and General Discussion after which the final selections are made. Total number of seats in PGDM program of GIM is 120.

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES AT GIM BASED ON MERIT-CUM-MEANS BASIS
ELIGIBILITY:
Minimum 50% aggregate marks, (45% in case of candidates belonging to the Reserved category) in a three-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) recognized by the Association of Indian Universities / AICTE. Candidates who will complete all requirements for the degree by 16th June 2012 may also apply. If an applicant does not complete all the requirements of his degree by 16th June 2012, or does not obtain 50% aggregate marks in his degree, the offer of admission made to him will stand cancelled. The total number of seats is 240. The qualifying cutoff for each year is determined on the basis of the scores of the applicants to the Institute, in the entrance test in that year. For admission to the post graduate programme in business management 2012-2014, only those candidates who register for the XLRI Admissions Test XAT 2012 of Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur or CMAT 2012 of All India Council for Technical Education may apply for admission to GIM.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
Candidates seeking admission to GIM are required to observe the following procedure:
i. Applicants to GIM are required to take the XLRI Admissions Test XAT 2012 or CMAT 2012 of All India Council for Technical Education.
ii. Apply online - Last date for online application is 31st December 2011.
iii. Candidates who have applied for admission to GIM will be shortlisted on the basis of their XAT or CMAT scores, past academic performance and work experience. The shortlisted candidates will be called for face to face evaluation process for final selection in February/March 2012.
iv. The final selection will be made tentatively in April 2012 on the basis of competitive examinations XAT or CMAT* scores (50% weightage), the candidate’s past academic performance (10% weightage), performance in face to face evaluation process (30 % weightage) and work experience (10% weightage), if any.
v. The academic session would begin in last week of June/first week of July 2012.
For further evaluation, the qualifying cut-off XAT score will be lowered by 15 points for candidates of Goan domicile/origin. Documentary evidence of domicile will have to be supplied along with the completed Application Form.
We believe in diversity of achievements. To encourage candidates with proven & recognized talent in Sports and various arts, the selection process will factor in these achievements in shortlisting the candidates.
International/ NRI candidates will need valid GMAT score. Fees are marginally higher and are payable in US $. Interviews can be on phone/videoconference.

Please note: Admission to the Goa Institute of Management is strictly on the basis of merit and no donation in any form is sought or accepted in connection with admission. Ragging is totally banned at the institute, anyone guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging is liable to be punished. Orders of Government and of Hon'ble Supreme Court on the Anti-Ragging measures are completely followed.
Goa Institute of Management will not be able to consider candidates appearing for a competitive examination, if the scores are not available latest by 5th May 2012.

Instructions for PGDM Course Admission 2012-2014:
Candidates must fill in ALL the relevant particulars and pay registration fee for processing the application. Registration fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance
A) Online payment by Credit/debit card:
i. Click the GIM Registration Page
ii. Enter your XAT id
iii. Pay by online payment gateway
iv. Download and save the Payment Advice (PA) form.
v. Applicant will receive an email confirming the successful registration/payment
vi. Applicant to receive Bulletin 2012 by courier/post
Note: You need not send the PA form to the Admissions Office, GIM

B) Payment by Demand draft OR by paying cash at coaching institute:
Obtain a Demand Draft in favour of

write an at par cheque in favour of "Goa Institute of Management". Please note that your registration would be accepted by GIM only after realization of the cheque for
Rs. 1250/- for registration being done on or before 30th November, 2011

Note:
Candidates who have said yes to Goan origin/domicile need to send in the evidence proving the same along with the payment to the GIM admissions office, failing which it would be considered as not valid.
