TWO YEAR FULL TIME RESIDENTIAL MBA Programme: 2012-14
School of Management, KIIT University, (KSOM) established in 1993 as Institute of Business Administration and Training (IBAT), is recognized as a trend-setting centre of Management education. The academic session 2012–14 will commence from the first week of July, 2012 and end by April, 2014.

Important Dates:
i. Last Date of Receiving Application Form for XAT-2012 Candidates: February 20, 2012
ii. GD & PI: 1st week of March 2012
Candidates who have applied earlier with MAT/CAT scores need not apply again.
Eligibility:
Graduate in any discipline recognized by the AIU with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education and having minimum 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA). The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned University/ Institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the University/ Institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing CGPA obtained with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100. Those who are in their final year of graduation and awaiting their results by June, 2012 can also apply.
Admission Test:
Applicants are required to qualify in CAT, MAT or XAT for the current session.
1. Common Admission Test (CAT), conducted by IIM (Indian Institute of Management) to be held between 22nd October, 2011 – 18th November, 2011.
2. Management Aptitude Test (MAT), conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association) held in September, 2011, 4th December, 2011, 5th February, 2012 and 1st week of May, 2012.
3. XLRI Admissions Test (XAT) 2012 to be held on 8th January, 2012 or XAT online Test from 20th September, 2011 to 30th November, 2011.

Application Procedure:
Candidates can download application form at http://www.ksom.ac.in. and follow the following procedure:
Download the 'Application Form from our website; take a print out; fill-up the form and send the filled-in application form complete in all respect along with documents evidencing previous qualifications, two passport size photographs and application fee of Rs.750/- in the form of DD drawn in favour of KIIT School of Management payable at Bhubaneswar, to Admissions Executive, School of Management, Krishna Campus – 7, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar – 751024, Odisha. Mention the Name and Address of the applicant on the reverse of the pay Order/ Demand Draft. Candidates should retain photocopies of the application form submitted and the 'Pay Order/DD' for future reference.

The school will issue an Index Number acknowledging the receipt of the application form. All future correspondences shall be with reference to this Index Number.
Candidates awaiting CAT/ MAT/XAT/GMAT results can apply pending publication of results. Such candidates need to send their CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT scores within 7 days of publication of results.

Candidates expecting graduation results within June, 2012:
Candidates in their final year degree and expecting graduation results within June, 2012 can also apply for the MBA Programme.
Such applicants are required to submit along with their application form, a certificate from the Principal or Head of the Institution to the effect that the candidate is expected to complete all requirements for completion and award of the degree with in June, 2012.
Foreign/NRI Applicants:
Foreign/NRI applicants shall follow the above procedure and submit the filled-in application form along with requisite documents mentioned above with application fee of US $50. The filled-in application form along with GMAT score card should reach KSOM on or before 31st January, 2012.
Selection Process:
Candidates shall be shortlisted on the basis of MAT /XAT /CAT/GMAT score for appearing in Group Discussion (GD) and / or Personal Interview (PI) at Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, New Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. The final selection shall be based on MAT / XAT / CAT / GMAT score, career marks and performance in GD & PI.
Successful candidates will be intimated of their final selection through admission offer letter containing the terms and conditions of admission.
The selected candidates shall confirm and accept the admission offer with terms and conditions for taking admission to the programme and submit the Acceptance Letter in its prescribed format along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 30,000/- favoring “KIIT School of Management” payable at Bhubaneswar.

Cancellation of Admission Offer:
i. The admission of a candidate will be automatically cancelled, if any information provided in the application form is found incorrect or missing
ii. Those fail to submit the final degree in time as stipulated or fail to secure minimum eligible marks in the degree examination.
iii. Non fulfillments of terms and conditions of the admission offer letter.
On-line approval of Education Loan:
Candidates aspiring for education loan may approach Allahabad Bank and avail on-line approval facility. For details visit website www.allahabadbank.com. Approval to such applications can be accorded by the bank within 72 hours in a hassle free manner.
