Lucknow University Computer Science Admission Test (LUCSAT) is an entrance examination conducted by Lucknow University for admission to MCA course of department of Computer Science in Lucknow University. Lucknow University being one of the largest universities and MCA being such a popular program a large number of students appear for LUCSAT every year so the competition to get admission is quite tough.

There are only 30 seats for MCA course in Lucknow University. MCA in Lucknow University is only open to the candidates who have a BSc(Computer Sc) or BCA degree. Entrance is based on a written test consisting of questions from BSc(Comp. Sc)/BCA Syllabus among other topics. The Institute has been known to undertake the toughest of the entrance exam in order to admit candidates.

Eligibility:

Candidate applying for LUCSAT should either be pursuing B.Sc. BCA of minimum 3 years of duration with minimum of 50% of marks with Mathematics in 10+2 level. Admission of the candidate is in accordance to marks scored in LUCSAT which is of 100 marks. A deduction of 3% marks will be done on the total marks obtained for each gap year while preparing the final merit list.

How to Apply:

Application forms for LUCSAT will be available online through the website www.lkouniv.ac.in. The fee of admission test is Rs. 700/-, which is to be paid by the candidate at the time of submission of the filled form in every respect which is to paid by the candidate by making a demand draft in favour of Finance Officer, University of Lucknow.

The Application form must be filled in Capital letters by the candidate in his/her own handwriting.

The Xerox copy of the properly filled Application Form must be kept by the candidate, which can be treated as the proof of filled form when produced along with postal receipt.

Candidates must write Name and address with phone number on backside of the demand draft. Candidate must mentioned the name of course on top of the envelop Registered Post/Speed Post.

Attested Photo-stat Copies of mark-sheets, testimonials etc. should be enclosed with this application form.

Incomplete application forms will be subjected to rejection. The candidate would have then no claim.

Admission Criteria:

The admission shall be done on the basis of combined entrance test (100 marks). Entrance Test Question paper will consist of multiple choice question on English Language and comprehension, Numerical Aptitude, Basic Computing abilities, General Awareness and Reasoning.

There shall be no negative marking. The selection to the course will be through a 11/2 (One and Half) hours written test.

There shall be no weightage of any P.G. Degree/Diploma.

Exam Pattern:

Question Paper pattern for Entrance Examination (100 Marks).

Part – A: 40 Multiple Choice Questions in Total, comprising of Questions based on logical reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, English Comprehension.

Part – B: 60 Multiple Choice Questions in Total based on B.C.A./B.Sc. (Computer Science) Syllabus

Reservation: The existing reservation rules of the University shall apply in admitting the students to this course.
