Applications are invited for Admission to the following programmes for the academic year 2013 - 2014.
1. M.B.B.S - Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery
2. B.D.S - Bachelor of Dental Surgery
3. B.P.T - Bachelor of Physiotherapy
4. B.Sc (N) - Bachelor of Science - Nursing
5. M.P.T - Master of Physiotherapy

Any candidate who is a citizen of India with the following academic qualification can apply: Pass in higher secondary examination (10+2) of Tamil Nadu with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually or an equivalent examination with
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Candidates belonging to SC and ST or other BC are however eligible if they have 40% aggregate marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and have passed the examination in those subjects as well as in English.
A pass in HSc (Academic) with (Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany/Zoology) and English examination or equivalent examinations accepted by the Annamalai University.
B.Sc (Nursing)/Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery:
HSc exams (12 yrs course) (or) senior school certificate exams (10+2) pre-degree exams (10+2) (or) any equivalent with 12 yrs schooling from a recognised board or university with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE). For SC/ST: 40% of aggregate marks in (PCBE). Unmarried female candidates only are eligible.

MBBS/BDS/BPT the candidates should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December 2012. For Bsc (Nursing) and Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery programmes should have completed 17 years of age and should not over 30 years and for SC/ST: 35 years of age as on 31.12.2012. No request for relaxation of the age will be entertained.
Candidates who wish to apply for MBBS/BDS/BPT/Bsc (Nursing) will have to appear compulsorily for the Common Entrance Examinations, Conducted by the University which is to be held on 11th May 2012.
Others need not apply for these programmes.
Candidates seeking admission into MPT Degree Programme must have acquired the BPT degree of Annamalai University (or) a degree of any other University recognised as equivalent thereto by this University.
i. Candidates seeking admission into M.Sc (Nursing) Degree Programme must have passed B.Sc (Nursing)/B.Sc (Hons. Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) with minimum of 55% aggregate marks, (for SC/ST candidates minimum of 50% of marks of aggregate marks).
ii. Candidate should have undergone B.Sc (Nursing)/B.Sc (Hons. Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) in an institution which is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council.
iii. Minimum 1 year of work experience after Basic B.Sc (Nursing).
iv. Minimum 1 year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing).
v. Candidates shall be Medically Fit.
Certificate Programme in Dental Mechanics/Dental Hygienists:
A pass in 10th Std with an aggregate of 50% marks along with pass in English language or an equivalent recognised qualification.
The candidates should have completed the age of 15 years as on 31.12.2012.

5. MPT/M.Sc (Nursing) (Including Entrance Exam Fee): Rs. 1000/-
6. Dip. in Gen. Nursing: Rs. 300/-
7. Certificate Programme in Dental Mechanics/Dental Hygienists: Rs. 200/-

from the date scheduled above on payment of prescribed fee noted above in person or by sending a DD obtained on or after 01.04.2012 drawn in favour of "The Registrar, Annamalai University, Annamalai Nagar" from any bank, payable at "Chennai" along with self addressed stamped Thick Kraft envelope of size 30 cm x 24 cm with the name of the programme for which the application is required should be superscribed boldly on the envelope.

The synopsis as well as content books for a second year of a educational march of Higher Secondary Certificate (H.Sc) in Tamil Nadu have been same as a settlement followed by AU AIMEE 2012.
Pattern of Examination:
The examination will consist of two papers:
1. Biology (Botany & Zoology)
2. Physics & Chemistry
Syllabus will be from class 12th Tamil Nadu HSc. Syllabus.
The selection of the candidates is based upon the result they bring out in their written examination. Apart from that the interview also carries marks in the final assessment of the selected candidates.
Final Selection is based on class 12th marks, entrance test and an interview as follows:
Qualifying Examinations – 200 marks
Entrance Examination – 100 marks
Interview – 30 marks
