ADMISSION NOTICE FOR POST GRADUATE DEGREE & DIPLOMA COURSES – 2012
B.L.D.E. University invites Application for ALL INDIA POST GRADUATE MEDICAL ENTRANCE TEST – 2012 (BLDEU PGET 2012) from eligible candidates.
Post Graduate Medical Education Programme:
1. MD - 3 years
2. MS - 3 years
3. Diploma - 2 years
MD: Radiology, General Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Anaesthesiology, Comm. Medicine, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy.
MS: General Surgery, Obst. & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, E.N.T.
Diploma: DGO, D’Ortho, DLO, DCH, DA, DCP.
20% of the total available seats are reserved for NRI/Foreign/Institutional and in-service quota. The seat matrix shall be announced before counseling.

Rules of Admission:
Admission will be made in accordance with the admission policy of BLDE University which has been framed as per the guidelines laid down by MCI and UGC.
15% of the total seats are reserved for the NRI/PIO/Foreign and 5% of the total seats are reserved for Institutional Preference / In-Service and others.
Eligibility Criteria:
Only those candidates, who satisfy or likely to satisfy the following relevant eligibility requirements for admission to Post Graduate courses will be considered eligible to appear for the BLDEU-PGET-2012 and subsequently for admission to the course.
Eligibility requirements to appear for BLDEU-PGET-2012 and admission to the medical Post Graduate Diploma and Degree Courses are:
1. The candidates seeking admission to these courses should have passed MBBS from the college recognized by Medical Council of India.
2. As specified by Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate courses shall be:
a) General category 50 percent
b) SC/ ST & OBC (OBC as declared by Government of Karnataka from time to time) Category 40 percent
c) Candidates with 40 to 70% locomotor disability of lower limbs (as certified by competent issuing authority) category 45 percent.
3. The candidate should have completed the compulsory rotating internship / would be completing by
30th April 2012.
4. Foreign / PIO / NRI students are exempted from BLDEU-PGET-2012. Their admission will be based on qualifying examination marks.
The MCI norms to qualify for PGET & Admissions:
Candidates seeking admission to these Post Graduate Degree courses should have passed M.B.B.S. recognised by Medical Council of India or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent Registration from the Medical Council of India or any of the State/ Medical council or candidate should register the same within one month from the date of admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.
Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the MCI may on the payment of prescribed fee for the registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of post graduate training restricted to the medical college/ institute to which the applicant is admitted for the time being exclusively for post graduate studies; provided further, that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subjected to the condition that such person is duly registered as medical practioner in his own country from which the applicant has obtained his/her basic medical qualification and that his/her degree is recognized by the corresponding medical council or respective competent authority.
If the candidate fails to fulfill the relevant eligibility requirements as mentioned above he/she will not be considered eligible for admission for Medical Postgraduate Degree and Diploma Courses even if he/she is placed in the merit list of BLDEU-PGET-2012. The candidates are advised not to submit their applications for BLDEU-PGET 2012, if they do not fulfill any one or all the relevant eligibility criteria.
Rank list/ Rank Card will be prepared only for those candidates who are eligible for Post Graduate Courses as per the regulations of Medical Council of India.
Note:
Change of category status like SC, ST, and OBC (OBC as declared by Government of Karnataka from time to time) & Locomotor Disability will not be entertained mid-way during the course of BLDEU-PGET-2012. As such students are cautioned to declare their status while filling the application.

Note: In the event of cancellation of any centre, candidates will be allotted another nearest center by an advance notification.
How to Apply:
Application forms can be downloaded from our website. Relevant information and data entry is to be made in the online application format by the candidate before generating the application form. Hard copy of the generated application form along with relevant enclosures, should be sent to the University.
Note: provision for online submission of application is not available.
Instructions to candidates for filling the application form:

Please note that this fee is non-refundable, even if the application is rejected for any reasons (because of incomplete information or ineligibility of the candidate) or if the candidate does not appear for the Entrance Test.
b. To generate the application form, Data Entry has to be made properly and completely, as this data form University data base and will be considered as final record.
c. The completed application form must have the signature of the candidate, left thumb impression, signature of candidate's parent/guardian and authentication by a Gazetted Officer / Head of the Institute where the candidate has completed his/her M.B.B.S degree.
d. Do not send any ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS along with the application form.
1. Affix your recent (not older than six months) color photograph in the space provided.
2. Photographs should be of passport size, sharp and clear.
3. Candidate, who regularly wears spectacles, shall send his photograph wearing spectacle.
4. Person should not wear Goggle, Cap etc which will mask identity. Application with smudged / tampered or hazy photograph will be rejected
5. Photograph should not be stapled or pinned on the application form.
6. Signature and attestation is not required on the photograph.
e. Incomplete / incorrect applications are liable to be rejected without any notice to the candidate.
f. Any application received after the last date shall not be accepted; whatever may be the cause.
g. The application form is said to be complete only if it is enclosed with all the documents mentioned below and after verification of the same submitted in person / speed post / courier. Date of Birth: Provide your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format only. For e.g.: If your date of birth is 09th October 1985, fill as 09/10/1985
Gender: Select the appropriate gender male / female.
Nationality: Please mention your nationality.
By Birth/Domicile: If you belong to Karnataka by birth / domicile, please select Karnataka.
Category if any: Enter the Category you belong to.For Karnataka candidates: Select the category you belong to: General, SC, ST, OBC (Cat.1, Cat.2A, Cat.2B,, Cat.3A, Cat.3B) or Locomotor Disability
For Non - Karnataka candidates: Select the category you belong to: General, SC, ST or Locomotor Disability.
Address: Provide your correct postal address for communication. Note that all formal communications from BLDE University will be sent to you at this address only. Please use blank spaces to separate words. Avoid short form such as Rd, Th, St etc. Avoid Roman letters in your address. Specify the name of your city, state and pin code in the columns provided only; do not mention your city name in the space provided for address. The University shall not be responsible for lost communication en-route.
PAYMENT DETAILS: DD No: Enter the six digit DD number given at the bottom of the demand draft.
Drawee Bank: Enter the name of the bank from where the DD was purchased in the space provided. Ensure that the DD is signed by the Bank authorities and payable at BIJAPUR-586103, KARNATAKA.

Note: the application forms are to be sent in A4 size envelopes only. Please note applications should not be folded.
Test Admission Ticket (TAT):
1. Hard copies of the TAT card will not be sent by post / courier, hence eligible candidates are informed to download their TAT cards from University website.
2. Candidates who have applied will know the status of application by student login.
3. The candidate must not mutilate the TAT Card or change any entry, made therein after the University authorities have authenticated it.
4. Arrangement will be made for the issue of duplicate TAT Cards at the ‘Help Desk’ established on previous day (i.e. 4th February 2012) at the respective examination centres.
In such a situation, the candidate should bring two identical photographs similar to the one affixed on application form along with his / her proof of submission / identity proof / acknowledgement of application sent or school / college identity card. In case no proof is submitted, duplicate TAT card will not be issued.
Test Scheme:
BLDEU-PGET-2012 will have the following pattern;
There will be only one test which will have 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQ). The time allotted for the test shall be 180 minutes. The test will begin at 10:00 am and end at 1:00 pm
Candidates are required to mark their answers in an OMR (Optical Mark Reader) Answer Sheet.
Each correct answer is awarded with one mark.
There will be no negative marking. No mark/s will be awarded for multiple marking (marking multiple responses) for any question.

The scope of the syllabus for the Post Graduate Medical Entrance is based on the M.B.B.S. syllabus as prescribed by MCI. The number of questions related to each subject in BLDEU-PGET-2012 is approximately mentioned below.

Rank List:
The merit / rank list will be generated based on the performance in the entrance test and the same will be published on 19th February 2012
Inter-se Merit:
Ties in the test scores, if any, will be resolved on the basis of the Inter Se Merit as defined and in the order specified below:
1. Total aggregate percentage scored in the M.B.B.S. exams of all the three phases
2. Number of additional attempts during the M.B.B.S. course
3. The age of the candidate, the elder candidate is ranked higher than the younger candidate.
Counseling, Seat Selection and Admission Procedure:
BLDE University will conduct counseling, seat allotment and admission process on
3rd March 2012, for eligible candidates for the admission to Post Graduate courses for the academic year 2012-2013 as per the merit list based on results of the Post Graduate Entrance Test of BLDE University, Bijapur. The detailed information on seat matrix, counseling schedule, counseling time, and reporting time will be announced before counseling.

Eligibility:
1. The candidates seeking admission to these courses should have passed MBBS from a college recognized by Medical Council of India for the award of M.B.B.S Degree.
2. As per the requisitions of statuary bodies and as laid down by Medical Council of India, in Post Graduate Regulation 2000, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate courses shall be: 50% for general category, 45% for candidates with 40-70% locomotor disability and 40% for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC). The OBC category as declared by Government of Karnataka from time to time.
3. The candidate should have completed the Compulsory Rotating Internship or would be completing by 30th April 2012.
Admission Fee:
The candidate has to pay the tuition fees and other fee at the time of allotment of seat, by demand draft drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar, BLDE University, Bijapur, payable at Bijapur-586103, Karnataka.
An undertaking by the parents/guardians shall be submitted towards payment of fees for entire period of course in the event of discontinuation of course by the candidate.
