BACHELOR OF MEDICINE AND BACHELOR OF SURGERY (MBBS): 4½ years Degree Course plus one year Internship
There shall be a course for the Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) under the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
BACHELOR OF DENTAL SURGERY (BDS): 4 Year Degree Course plus one year rotating internship in Dental College
There shall be a course for the Degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) under the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
Eligibility Condition/Education Qualification for MBBS/BDS Course-2012 under Delhi Quota:
1. It is notified for all concerned that the University of Delhi will NOT conduct Delhi University Medical-Dental Entrance Test (DUMET) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses under Delhi Quota for the Session-2012 - 2013.
2. Instead, admission to MBBS/BDS Courses for all categories under Delhi Quota will be made on the basis of the merit obtained by the eligible candidates in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) to be conducted by CBSE.
3. The Preliminary Examination of AIPMT is to be held on 01.04.2012 and the Final Examination on 13.05.2012
4. The schedule to apply for AIPMT is as under;
i. Fee without Late Fee: 26.12.2011 to 25.01.2012
ii. Fee with First Late Fee: 26.01.2012 to 08.02.2012
iii. Fee with Second Late Fee: 09.02.2012 to 24.02.2012
5. Candidates must apply and appear in AIPMT – 2012 to become eligible for admission under Delhi Quota in the MBBS/BDS courses of University of Delhi.
6. Eligible candidates for Delhi Quota MUST also apply in prescribed Application Form to the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 after declaration of the result of the Final Examination of AIPMT – 2012. The Application Form of University of Delhi shall be available after declaration of Final Examination result of AIPMT-2012.
7. Since the final result of AIPMT-2012 may likely to be declared in 1st week of June, 2012, the application form alongwith Bulletin of Information (BOI) of the University of Delhi shall be available 2nd/3rd week of June, 2012. The concerned candidates may visit www.fmsc.ac.in.
8. Educational Qualification for admission to MBBS/BDS course under Delhi Quota:
The candidates must have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system with required subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised school conducting regular classes and situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The candidates must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English separately and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category and 45% marks in case of OBC category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidates must have studied 11th and 12th classes regularly from a recognised school situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
Female candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Children, Widows & Wives of Armed & Para Military Personnel (CWWAPP category) killed or disabled in action in wars 1947-48 onwards and wards of Ex-servicemen personnel and serving personnel of the Defence/Armed Forces and all Police Forces who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards, who have passed qualifying examination from Indian Boards/Universities or Foreign Boards/Universities may also apply for admission to Lady Hardinge Medical College only and have to come for Counselling. They would be offered admission to LHMC only on the basis of their merit in the AIPMT-2012. The condition of studying 11th and 12th class from a school situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall not be applicable to these candidates.
Note:
(i) The Physically Handicapped candidates having disability of lower limbs from 50% to 70% are eligible and may apply as per the guidelines of the Medical Council of India.
(ii) In the event of all the seats reserved for PH category not being filled up from among the Physically Handicapped candidates with the above stipulated physical disability then the seats will be offered to the candidates within the physically disability of 40% to 50%
