National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET PG) - 2014
NEET-PG is the common entrance test to be conducted by the Medical Council of India (MCI) for admissions to medical post-graduate courses across the country i.e. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for medical PG courses – MD/MS/Diploma (NEET-PG ). This exam shall be held in Jan/Feb 2013 for admissions in the academic year 2013-2014. The syllabus is that of MBBS described in the MCI Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997. The multiple choice questions (MCQs) would be based on the MBBS syllabus as well as the knowledge that needs to be acquired during internship which is also described in the said Regulations.
NBE shall be conducting NEET PG as a Computer Based Test (CBT) from 23rd November, 2012 to 06th December, 2012 at test centres in 33 cities.
NEET PG 2013 Important Dates:
i. Availability of information bulletin-cum-examination fee voucher at designated branches of Axis Bank: 04th October, 2012 to 10th November, 2012
ii. Online registration and scheduling for NEET PG: 04th October, 2012 to 12th November, 2012
iii. Declaration of NEET PG 2013 Results: By 31st January 2013
Exam Schedule: NEET PG Examination dates : 23rd November, 2012 to 06th December, 2012 . The examination shall be conducted from 23rd November – 6th December, 2012, which is referred to as the testing window (with 24th, 25th, 28th November and 2nd December as non-testing days).
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who are in possession of MBBS degree/Provisional MBBS pass certificate from an Institute recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or likely to complete on or before 31st March, 2013 may apply for NEET PG through online application system at www.nbe.gov.in/neetpg

How to Pay:
Kindly purchase Composite Information Bulletin-cum-Examination Fee Voucher from the selected branches of Axis Bank.
The unique serial number on the Information Bulletin-cum-Examination Fee Voucher is available underneath the scratch panel and needs to be entered on the NEETPG website for the online registration and scheduling process.
Candidates remaining absent from the examination or ineligible will forfeit their examination fee. Candidates are advised to read the rule position carefully and satisfy the terms and conditions for fulfillment of eligibility criteria before proceeding for payment of fees.
FEES SHALL NEITHER BE REFUNDED NOR CARRIED FORWARD IF THE APPLICATION FOR NEET-PG IS REJECTED/CANDIDATURE IS FOUND TO BE INELIGIBLE OR CANDIDATE IS UNABLE TO APPEAR IN THE EXAMINATION.
VALIDITY OF NEET-PG RESULT:
The validity of the result of the NEET-PG shall be only for the current admission session i.e. 2013 admission session for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses and cannot be carried forward for the next session of admissions for MD/MS/PG Diploma.
Kindly note that the schedule of admissions for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses is governed by Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Central Government and the Judgments of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
DECLARATION OF RESULT: The results for NEET shall be declared by 31st January 2013. The mark sheet-cum-result certificate for the NEET-PG examination can be downloaded from the website www.nbe.gov.in/neetpg after the declaration of result.
DISPATCH OF RESULT: The result will be sent to all candidates individually by post.
NEET PG Courses Duration:
M.Med (Specialist) - 2 Years
MD - 3 Years
Dual Degrees - 4 Years
MD + Fellowship - 4 Years
MD + PhD - 5 Years
MD + DM - 5 Years
NEET PG Exam Pattern:
The DM/MCh entrance examination papers would have multiple types of MCQs, namely single response (Section A-60%), multiple T/F, images, assertion/reasoning questions and patient management questions (Section B-40%).
For DM/ MCh entrance, there would be three kinds of papers,
i. M.S. surgery level for all M.Ch. courses (surgical specialties),
ii. MD Medicine level for D.M. (medical specialties)
iii. M.D. Pediatrics level for Pediatric subspecialties(Pediatric Gastroenterology, Pediatric Neurology,Neonatology and some other upcoming disciplines).
In DM/MCh entrance examination, there will be a single paper of 180 questions of 3 hours duration.
i. Each question will carry one mark.
ii. The questions will be of single response type MCQs.
iii. There will be negative marking for wrong answer (0.25 marks).
