Date of All India Common Entrance Examination: 18.05.2012
Examination Time: 10.00 am to 1.00 pm

Entrance Examination Centres: SALEM, CHENNAI, KOLKATA, MUMBAI, PUDUCHERRY.

In the box against each centre in the application form write your preference number for that centre.

Course Duration: 4 1/2 + 1 Years

MBBS is an undergraduate degree in medicine which enables one to register as a medical practitioner and pursue Post Graduate degrees in various fields of medicine. The entire course at VMU is completed in four and a half years followed by one year of internship.

Admission Criteria:

Eligibility:

i. A Pass in 10 + 2 /HSC/CBSE/Intermediate/PDE/ Equivalent

ii. Must have passes the qualifying examination with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Botany & Zoology) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum average of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology).

iii. For SC/ST/OBC this minimum aggregate mark taken together is 40% inlieu of 50%

Age Limit: Candiate shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be made based on the marks secured in the Entrance Examination conducted by the University on All India basis. Candidates belonging to any State / Union Territory of India can apply.

Application Form:

Application form can be obtained from the University office in person on payment of Rs.1100/-, or by post on payment of Rs.1200/-, by Demand Draft favouring “Vinayaka Missions University” payable at Salem.

Application form can also be downloaded from www.vinayakamission.com in which case application must be submitted along with a DD for Rs.1100/- The filled-in application form, along with the Demand Draft as required must reach the following address within the last date notified.
