About Jammu & Kashmir State Eligibility Test (SET)
University of Jammu conducts a State Level Eligibility Test. The Jammu & Kashmir State Government has designated the University of Jammu as its Agency to conduct test (SLET) for Lecturers/ Assistant Librarians. The UGC has allowed the State Agency to conduct the SLET.
Subjects: Chemical Science; Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences; Life Sciences; Mathematical Sciences; Physical Sciences; Human Geography; Electronic Science; Home Science; Computer Applications; History; Political Science; Economics; Education; Library & Information Science; Sociology; Psychology; Islamic Studies; Philosophy; Commerce; Management; Law; Music; English; Urdu; Hindi; Punjabi; Sanskrit; Dogri; Kashmiri; Persian and Arabic.
Eligibility:
Indian nationals with Master's Degree with 5,5% marks of the aggregate marks (excluding statutory grace marks, if my) (50% for SC/ST Category). Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in the final year of their post-graduation and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose examinations have been delayed may also apply.
However, such candidates are considered eligible for Lecturers/ Assistant Librarians after they have passed the Master's Degree Examination with the requisite percentage.
Medium of Examination: Question papers in all subjects except in Oriental, Classical and Modern Indian Languages shall be set in English. The medium of answering questions in all subjects other than Oriental, Classical and Modern Indian Languages is English.
Exam Centres: Srinagar and Jammu cities only.
Notification: June. Last date: August. Examination: October.
