Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) Procedures to Apply

Karnataka SET (K-SET) 2011 Exam Date: 23^rd October, 2011 (Sunday)

Procedures to Apply:

Candidates should note that Application has to be submitted online only.

STEPS FOR SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:

1. The candidates are required to download the Bank Challan Proforma from the K-SET website and then deposit the requisite test fee in any branch of State Bank of Mysore along with the bank charges (bank commission) of Rs.20/-.

2. Before applying Online, the candidates must possess the following : (i) Scanned passport (pp) size photograph in JPEG format(4.5 cm X 3.5 cm) should be less then 300kb, (ii) Copy of Bank Challan (fee receipt).

3. Candidate seeking admission to the Test must apply online (i.e. www.kset.uni-mysore.ac.in) OR through a link available on the University of Mysore website: www.uni-mysore.ac.in).

4. After successful submission, the candidate should take printout of online Application Form (Two copies), Attendance Slip (one copy) and Admission Card (one copy) on separate A-4 size papers.

5. SC/ST/Category-1/PH/VH candidates must enclose the attested copy of certificate for the same. Category-IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB candidates mush enclose attested copy of the certificate

6. The Application (consisting of Two copies of printout of online application form, one copy Attendance Slip and one copy Admission card) along with required documents (Copies of caste certificates, self addressed stamped, Rs.10/- envelope) must reach the Nodal Officer, of respective Test Center opted by candidate as listed in this website.

7. Submission of Hard copy of the Application along with necessary documents is a MUST. Hard copy of the Application received after 10th May, 2011 at the respective Test Centre will be rejected.

8. Before applying Online, candidates are advised to go through the detailed notification available at K-SET website (Please note that Fee submitted through any other mode like Money Order, Demand Draft, IPO etc. will be rejected).

9. The cover of size (37 cm X 25 cm) containing Application Form should be super scribed "K-SET FOR LECTURESHIP, 2011". Candidates should mention their Roll Number, Subject and Category. Name and Address of the candidates should be written on the cover.

10. The candidate must affix his/her recent identical passport size photographs, at the places indicated, on the printout of Online Application Form and must sign across the photograph after it is affixed in such a way that a part of the signature spreads over the Application Form beyond the photograph. Besides, it should also be duly attested by the Head of the University Department/Principal of the College/Class-I Gazetted Officer with official seal.

Documents Required:

Candidates have to fill the form online and draw a hard copy of the same after online submission and submit it to the concerned NODAL officer of the test center.

Copies of the following attested documents are to be enclosed with the form:
1. S.S.L.C Marks card (For Name confirmation)
2. Final Year Marks list of Master's Degree or of equivalent examination
3. Marriage certificate/Gazette Copy (in case of change in name)
4. Caste Certificate (except for General category) issued by the Competent Authority from Government of Karnataka, supporting their claim.
5. Medical Certificate given by the Competent Authority in prescribed format in case of Visually or Physically Handicapped (VH/PH) Candidates.

Note:

All the above documents along with the hard copy of the application form must be submitted to the NODAL officers at the opted Examination center by the candidate by hand or by post in a Cover of size 37 cm x 25 cm. Superscribe on the cover "K-SET Lectureship 2011" and other details mentioned in the website.

Acceptance of the Application form and the required fees does not guarantee eligibility for taking the test. All the eligibility criteria have to be met by the applicant. Permission to appear for the Test is provisional till such time the candidate fulfills the eligibility criteria.

Enclosures to be Sent:

ENCLOSURES TO BE SENT WITH THE APPLICATION

1. The candidates should send the following documents with hard copy of their online application form on separate A-4 size papers.
i. Application Form (two copies),
ii. Attendance Slip (one copy) and
iii. Admission Card (one copy).

2. Copy of Bank Challan (K-SET center copy).

3. Attested copies of SC/ST/Category-1/VH/PH, Visually Handicapped/ Physically Handicapped certificates as may be applicable.

4. Attested copies of Category-IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB certificates.

5. Attested copy of SSLC Marks card is a must for verification of name.

6. In case there is a change of name at latter stage, enclose attested copy of the authenticated document.

7. Attested copy of PG Degree marks card.

8. One self addressed, stamped (with Rs. 10 stamp) envelope of 10" X 4" size.

Important Check List:

CHECK LIST FOR FILLING THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:

1. Whether they fulfill the eligibility conditions for the Test as prescribed under the heading "CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY".

2. That they have filled in their CATEGORY, viz., SC/ST/ Category-1, in the relevant column correctly.

3. That they have filled in the Category-IIA, IIB, IIIA, and IIIB.

4. That they have filled in their subject, subject code and test centre in the relevant column correctly.

5. That the VH/PH candidates have filled the relevant column in the Online Application Form. Only VH/PH candidates have to fill this column and the others have to leave it blank.

6. Whether they have signed the declaration in the printout of Online Application Form.

7. Whether they have enclosed the required documents along with the hard copy of the Application Form before submission at the respective examination center.

8. Whether they have kept a hard copy of the submitted documents along with necessary certificate for their own record.

9. Whether PG Degree marks card enclosed.

10. Whether attached the Bank Challan.

11. If SC/ST/Category-1/PH/VH/Category-IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB, whether attested copy of caste certificate is attached.

12. The Cover of size (37cm X25 cm), containing hard copy of the application and other documents should be superscribed as "K-SET for Lecturership 2011" and sent to the NODAL officer of the opted Test center by post or in person.
