JAPANESE GOVERNMENT (MONBUKAGAKUSHO:MEXT) SCHOLARSHIP FOR 2012

Applications are invited from Indian students, for Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarships for 2012, for the following students:

1. Undergraduate Students
2. College of Technology Students
3. Specialized Training College Students

1. Undergraduate Student (Gakubu)

Level	Undergraduate level leading to Bachelors Degree
Fields of study	(1) Social Sciences and Humanities A: Laws, Politics, Pedagogy, Sociology, Literature, History, Japanese Language and others B: Economics, Business Administration (2) Natural Science A: Science, Electric and Electronic Studies, Mechanical Studies, Civil Engg. & Architecture, Chemical Studies and others B: Agricultural Studies, Hygienic Studies, Biology C: Medicine, Dentistry
Qualification	Students who have completed 12 year regular course of school education. (as of 1st April)
Term of scholarship	Five years from next April (Including one year of Japanese language training period*1)
Stipend	Approx. 123,000 Yen/month (Approx. Rs.61,000 / month)
Tuition fees	Exempted
Airfare	Round-trip (economy class) airfare will be provided
Application period	May – June

*1: It will be exempted if student has a good ability of Japanese or enters the course offered in English.

2. College of Technology Student (Kotosenmon-Gakko)

Level	Undergraduate level leading to Associate Degree (Diploma)
Fields of study	Mechanical Engg., Electrical and Electronic Engg., Information, Communication & Network Engg., Material Engg., Architecture and Civil Engineering, Maritime Engg., Other Fields
Qualification	Students who have academic ability equal to that of a high school graduate
Term of scholarship	Four years from next April (Including one year of Japanese language training period)
Stipend	Approx. 123,000 Yen/month (Approx. Rs.61,000 / month)
Tuition fees	Exempted
Airfare	Round-trip (economy class) airfare will be provided
Application period	May - June

Qualification	Students who have academic ability equal to that of a high school graduate
Term of scholarship	Three years from next April (Including one year of Japanese language training period)
Stipend	Approx. 123,000 Yen/month (Approx. Rs.61,000 / month)
Tuition fees	Exempted
Airfare	Round-trip (economy class) airfare will be provided
